This project was years in the making.

It started the way the best things often do — a conversation, a sketch of idea. David and James talked about making these blue cups long before they existed. And now, with twenty years behind us and a friendship that has only deepened with time, it felt like exactly the right moment to finally bring them to life.

This spring, the Farmhouse Pottery team partnered with us to create a set of handleless cups in three sizes — made for whatever you're drinking, whenever you're drinking it. Each cup was hand- brushed with blue clay slip by the Farmhouse artisans, giving every piece its own quiet variation of color. And the dimple. That small, thoughtful indentation on each cup — designed for your finger to rest, to hold, to cradle the ceramic in your palm the way you would something precious. A way to feel the warmth before you drink it. To breathe in the aroma before the first sip.

We are offering three sizes, because not every moment calls for the same cup.
The smallest is for the espresso drinker — or the double espresso drinker, for those who need the full punch of the morning. The medium size is for a cortado or a small flat white, for those who want just a touch of foam or milk to soften things. And the large cup is for the cappuccino, the latte, or the slow brewed tea that carries you through the afternoon.
We love blue. We have always loved blue. And we are so impressed with how these came out — the color, the feel, the weight of them in your hands.

Thank you, James. Thank you to the entire Farmhouse team. You are the best. And we raise a cup to twenty years, to great friendships, and to everything still to come.

These cups are available on www.savekhakiunited.com, SKU Lafayette in NYC and SKU Silver Lake in LA.
